ZNBC nears digital migration completion

Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation ( ZNBC) has completed 80% of Phase I of the digital migration project which is expected to be completed by June 10, 2015.

“The corporation has installed medium power transmitters in Kafue and Kalomo while high power transmitters are being installed in 10 sites along the line of rail,” said Masuzyo Ndlhovu, Corporate Affairs Manager, ZNBC.

Earlier this year, the Zambian government had started establishing new television stations across ten provinces in the country to engage rural areas. The country’s capital, Lusaka, has already completed migration to digital broadcasting.
