Zain launches ‘Zain eSports’ brand in KSA

Zain has rolled out a new esports brand in line with the launch of the largest seasons of regional esports competition, organized by EA Sports in the Middle Eastern markets for the game EA Sports FIFA 21.

The competition will be organized in collaboration with EA Sports, a world leader in digital interactive entertainment and PlayStation.

This edition of the competitions will be organized in parallel with the launch of the new Zain eSports brand as it announces its alliance with the former Saudi FIFA eWorld Cup champion, Musaed Al Dossary, in the initial edition of the EA Sports FIFA 21 challenge.

The Chief Executive Officer of Zain KSA, Eng. Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Deghaither, said, “At Zain, we are always happy to cater to the needs of our digital generation in the Kingdom and the region. Especially that this generation is considered the most tech-savvy one, and has mastered the use of the latest innovative and modern technologies in the world of esports, the Kingdom alone hosts more than 5.8m users of electronic gamers. This new esports brand that we announce is an excellent opportunity for this generation as it provides new content with a super-fast internet experience, low latency, and larger capacity, all of which will provide a whole new experience for esports through our 5G network service.”

Zain eSports will collaborate with local social media influencers to promote leagues among local gamers. Spectators will also be able to enjoy the gaming and content live over Zain’s eSports social media channels, Twitch and YouTube.
