Unitel and Huawei provide free internet for public schools in Angola

Huawei Angola plan to invest $60 million to build a headquarter for training and promotion of digital education for public schools’ student in partnership with mobile operator, Unitel.

Eunice de Carvalho, General Director of Unitel and Liuhongzhen Michael, Deputy CEO of Huawei announced a two-year memorandum by supplying equipment and technological solutions by Huawei while Unitel will provide internet and connections to schools.

The programme will initially cover 480 children for 2021, with the handover of some equipment, such as 480 tablets for students, 50 desktop computers for teachers and 50 projectors for classrooms.
