In South Africa, the content of the audiovisual group Trace has been added into the video on demand platform dedicated to Huawei. The two companies have announced their collaboration. As part of this agreement, Trace TV content will be added into the Huawei Video app first for South Africa and then potentially in other markets in Africa and the Middle East.
The Managing Director of Huawei Consumer Business Group, Sun Jun, said, “It is with great enthusiasm that Trace is launching as one of our premium Huawei Video partners in South Africa. This partnership supports our strategy to provide more choice and the best possible experience for users of our devices.”
On the other hand, the CEO of the Trace group, Olivier Laouchez, stated, “We are proud and delighted to have been chosen by Huawei as a strategic content partner. This will be a game-changer for many talented African artists who will share their creativity with millions of people around the world.”
An array of Trace’s best content, which comprises of South African music shows, sports series, and Afro-Urban short films such as House of Trace, Brothers with No Game, Sport Stars Uncovered, Star Block Workout and Fight Stars will be available on Huawei Video.
