Discovery+, the definitive non-fiction, real life subscription streaming service from Discovery, Inc., today announced that Say Yes to The Dress is coming to the region for the first time ever, in an exclusive two-year deal with STARZPLAY, MENA’s fastest-growing video streaming service.
One of TLC’s most well-loved and recognisable global franchises, ‘Say Yes to the Dress Arabia’ is giving brides from the Middle East a once-in-lifetime opportunity to feature in the show, with the show’s producers, Different Productions FZ LLC, actively casting for Arab and international brides-to-be who are currently based in UAE.
Since 2007, Say Yes to the Dress has helped hundreds of brides find their perfect dress. The series has spun off in multiple iterations from its original format – featuring the legendary Randy Fenoli in New York’s Kleinfield Bridal – including Randy Knows Best and Randy to The Rescue, as well as regional and international versions of Say Yes to the Dress, in Atlanta, UK, Lancashire, Ireland, Canada, Asia, Benelux and more.
The Senior Business Development and Distribution Director, Middle East, Africa, Turkey and North East Europe at Discovery, Francesco Perta, commented, “Brides across the Middle East are renowned for bringing an added flair to their wedding gowns. As one of TLC’s most popular franchises, we know that Say Yes to the Dress Arabia is going to be a hit, taking things one step further as it highlights the unique pizzazz that our regional brides will bring to the show.”
The Co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer of STARZPLAY, Danny Bates, added, “We are excited to bring this long-standing popular series for our MENA viewers. Offering diverse content is our differentiating strength as we continue to deliver unforgettable experiences to our subscribers who enjoy unique entertainment genres. Through this latest deal with discovery+, our subscribers can enjoy the world of reality shows and we are confident that the Arabian edition will win the hearts of audiences as well as prospective brides and their families.”
