Multichoice Namibia has launched its Pay-DTT platform, GOtv, in Walvis Bay. The service will be available for NAD 499 (USD 48.2) which includes a GOtv decoder, GOtenna (outdoor antenna) and 1 month’s free subscription to GOtv Plus.
“We at GOtv are constantly innovating to ensure we continue to deliver the best possible digital television to the people of Namibia,” said MultiChoice Namibia General Manager, Roger Gertze. “We encourage subscribers to take advantage of the GOtenna that is provided to ensure increased signal strength and better protection against mobile phone and car interference, especially in areas where the signal is too low for indoor antenna reception.”
Dataxis estimates the broadcaster had around 17,500 subs in Namibia end-June, up from 14,000 in June, 2012. The only other pay-TV operator in the country is MultiChoice-owned DTH operator, DStv.
