Madagascar signs an agreement with China for the modernization of its telecom network

The Republic of Madagascar, represented by Prime Minister Christian Ntsay, and the People’s Republic of China, represented by its ambassador, Yang Xiaorong, signed an agreement to modernize Madagascar’s telecommunications network. The ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Anosy, in the presence of the Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Digital Development, Christian Ramarolahy.

The project to modernize Madagascar’s telecommunication network will technically focus on the creation of new telecommunication infrastructures, including the fiber optic link and the establishment of data management centers, which will further modernize public services and reduce the cost of internal telecommunications within the public administration.

Through this project, Christian Ntsay said that the government now has “a tool that will contribute to the security of the city of Antananarivo, all in a perspective of improving the investment climate, aimed inter alia development through socio-economic and environmental investments, so that the efforts made in such a reform will lead to real transformations at the city level, indeed for all of Madagascar “.
