Inview Nigeria, a subsidiary of Inview Technology Limited, has appointed Nagra to back up the digitalisation process in Nigeria. Nagra, the independent provider of content protection, connect ware and multiscreen solutions to pay-TV operators across the globe, will particularly get involved with ‘Free TV’, a free-to-air digital TV platform in Nigeria.
The digital terrestrial transition in Nigeria will allow around 30 million TV households to switchover to digital TV from the analogue one. Inview, will supply set-top box software and integrated broadcast services for Nigerian’s digital terrestrial and satellite networks. In order to safeguard Free-to-View, pay-TV and Push VOD, Nagra will make use of NAGRA anyCAST which will deliver appropriate security level based on the service provider’s specific needs.
