GOtv reaches Mbarara, Kisii

MultiChoice Africa’s low-cost digital-terrestrial pay-TV service, GOtv, has expanded its signal footprint in western Ugandan town, Mbarara and western Kenyan city, Kisii.

Mbarara is the eleventh site in Uganda where MultiChoice has also installed its mast, worth USD 1.6 million, which will transmit signals to western Ugandan regions including Mbarara, Kasese, Ishaka and Kabwohe. “We hope to achieve nationwide coverage by the end of the year,” said Charles Hamya, General Manager, MultiChoice Uganda.

On the other hand, the expansion to the western Kenyan town, Kisii, takes the number of Kenyan towns where the MultiChoice platform is available to nine after Nairobi, Eldoret, Kisumu, Mombasa, Nyeri, Machakos, Malindi and Nakuru.
