The Euronews Group has reached an agreement with the MultiChoice group to offer Euronews content to millions of homes in sub-Saharan Africa on the DStv platform.
The English edition of Euronews was already available on the DStv platform in many countries in East and West Africa. The new agreement will now allow this global English edition of the network to also be distributed to Southern African countries, including Botswana, Lesotho and Malawi., Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe. The channel will be available on DStv channel 414 for DStv Premium, DStv Compact +, DStv Compact and DStv customers.
Euronews now reaches 50 million households on the African continent. From January 2020, advertisers will be able to target the continent with a specific advertising window on Euronews.
