Telecom operator Airtel Kenya has introduced a TV app service in Kenya in order to exploit the increasing demand for movie streaming services and boost data consumption on its network.
The free service dubbed Airtel TV will enable viewers to enjoy he best of local and international entertainment on their smartphones, ranging from movies, drama, documentaries, music and cartoons. Exclusive content from top studios including Universal, Nickelodeon and the BBC will be available without subscription to all Airtel mobile telephone subscribers in Kenya.
“Airtel TV is set to revolutionize the video on demand and Live TV viewing experience via smartphones, offering Airtel customers access to the very best shows, movies and live television engagements for free. Airtel TV has no monthly subscriptions and is accessible as long as you have data for streaming,” declared, Prasanta Das Sarma, CEO Airtel Kenya.
