Airtel Africa has partnered with digital money transfer service provider, WorldRemit for instant money transfer services expansion across Africa.
“We are committed to enhancing financial inclusion in the countries we operate through building a huge infrastructure of cashing in and cashing out locations in the markets and increasing our distribution,” said Raghunath Mandava, CEO, Airtel Africa.
To recall, Airtel Money operates in 14 countries in Africa and have services in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Zambia, Tanzania, Malawi, and Niger. With the latest partnership, Airtel customers can now transfer money both locally and internationally using WorldRemit. Moreover, the service also allow utility payments, save money in their mobile wallets, pay merchants and access a range of mobile financial products.
