Comptroller and Auditor- General has submitted the final report of Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation’s forensic audit. KPMG Chartered Accountants, Zimbabwe was commissioned in February this year to carry out the audit and suggest a turnaround strategy for the national broadcaster.
“We look forward to studying the report right away and we will then have to advise our principal of the report and its findings and we would expect the ZBC board to be seized with the implementation task as soon as possible,” said Jonathan Moyo , Minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services.
The report also suggests the kind of intervention that was necessary to arrest the situation at the troubled broadcaster. ZBC had earlier informed that the digital migration has stalled due to acute shortage of funds.
