West Africa’s DTT project to delay due to insufficient fund

West African government has reported that it is unlikely to meet the digital terrestrial television deadline of 17 June, 2015 due to lack of sufficient fund.

At present, the government has raised over XAF8 billion while it requires XAF46 billion for the completion of DTT migration.

“We are working hard to get the funding needed to purchase the appropriate equipment, build network and try hard to catch up with the delay,” said Frederic Nikiema, Communication Minister of the nation.
