Vodacom, the main telecoms organization listed on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange, is consulting with the Tanzanian government and other cellphone administrators about a possible expansion of its organization.
Vodacom Group’s President and CEO, Shameel Joosub clarified that the telecom organization is auditing potential business openings that could solidify its business in the nearby market.
The Chief Executive Officer, Shameel Joosub, stated: “Should opportunities present themselves for in-market consolidation in Tanzania, we will have a look if the regulatory environment is favourable. We’re having discussions with parties to see if there are opportunities.”
This new pursuit will enable Vodacom Tanzania to gather new subscribers and increase their revenues.
