Vivacom, the brand name of the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company, has partnered with Eutelsat, the French-based satellite provider. They will soon introduce a platform for satellite transmission of TV channels for Africa which is likely to start in December.
Earlier this month, Vivacom has presented to its partners and customers a wholly renovated teleport ‘Plan’. It is one of the recent equipment for satellite communications in the region providing services in Europe, Middle East, Africa and some parts of Asia. Following this partnership, the Vivacom will be extending its business over the African market by introducing a new platform to transmit television programs for Africa.
The teleport was opted for 3rd party teleport by the satellite operator. Vivacom’s teleport is a member of the World Teleport Association (WTA). The telecom’s development and investment in its existing two platforms – Intelsat 45E and 36E Eutelsat, are still ongoing. With the improvement of its infrastructure and the extension of the antenna field, VIVACOM allows the colocation of satellite equipment.
