TStv which was inaugurated on October 1 is much awaited for rolling out its decoders within the next one week for all customers intending to buy. This was disclosed by Mr Ernest Essien, TStv’s Public Relationship Officer on Friday 8 in Abuja.
Nigerians have been querying why the satellite TV provider has been taking so long to start public sales after it launched on October 1. Now, the wait is almost over as Essien said the company had been arranging to roll out its commercial decoders from next week after successful test run of its promo decoders which were distributed on November 1. Furthermore, he added that the service provider was committed to make sure all the intending customers shall have hands on their decoders before Christmas.
Essien said, “We are almost done with our test transmission and we are just putting some finishing touches and hopefully by the grace of God, between now and next week the decoders will be out for sale. We are informing Nigerians that they must enjoy their Christmas with their decoders. So before Christmas, the decoders must be already out in the market.”
He added, “Everything is in place we have done everything we needed to do before coming out and I want to let you know that TStv is still on course.”
The price on the other hand would remain the same as announced and TStv said they have surprise packages for Nigerians which they are not going to reveal for now as they want to keep it secret.
TStv will be running more than 70 channels and will have better quality of programmes prior to their promo decoders in terms of improvements.
