TelOne, the telecommunication company in Zimbabwe, will soon be launching a video streaming broadband package for its ADSL and fibre customers. With this new move, customers of TelOne will be able to stream movies by paying for streaming in addition to regular packages.
According to Chipo Mtasa,the Managing Director of TelOne, the company is in contact with both worldwide and local partners for the streaming service and are in process for finalising the launch.
Mtasa revealed that: “Content has not been our core area so we have partners that have experience in the business in order to bring better value. Our aim is to have our clients streaming more content through the TelOne platform, both ADSL and Fibre”.
TelOne, to recall, operates in Zimbabwean telecommunications and technology industry. It provides services in data, voice and internet products. The company’s range of telecommunications equipment varies from various exchanges located in strategic areas, optical fibre networks, radio network systems plus a wide range of high-tech networks including a satellite base station located in Mazowe area of Mashonaland Central Province in Zimbabwe.
