Telkom Kenya to expand 4G network to 28 towns

Telkom Kenya, announced the expansion for its 4G network from nine towns to 28. Over the last year since the investment of Helios Investment Partner on the company creating a change of management and ownership since Helios now possess 60% of the company.

The new investment of US$ 48 million (KES 5 billion) in upgrade for the network are expected to simulate the 4G network. The company announced the 4G availability in big cities such as Nairobi, Kisumu and Kisii and many more. The expansion now covers several growing cities namely: “Thika, Ngong, Embu, Nyahururu, Narok, Kitui and Voi.”
