The Head of Marketing at StarTimes, Akofa Djankui, declared during the launching, “Our newest addition Adepa TV is a country-specific channel for Ghana. Adepa TV will broadcast Ghanaian music, Ghanaian Movies, Ghanaian Sports and Twi dubs in High Definition.”
Djankui further supported, “Adepa TV went live online on the 1st of September with interesting Kumawood titles that have had our customer care lines beeping for more. We will continue to work with the film industry in Ghana, acquire more local content and possibly commission filmmakers to produce specific content for Adepa. Adepa is available on both the StarTimes decoder and the app.”
According to the StarTimes Head of Marketing, the company is currently securing content and collaborating with producers to have enough material for a dedicated Ghanaian channel. Adepa TV’s exclusive focus is to have a future where it will be open to more than 30 African countries to help sell Ghana to the world.
StarTimes introduced its services in Ghana in October 2016 with the objective of distributing Affordable pay-tv services for Ghanaians.
