Dubai-based telecom operator has made an agreement with entertainment network provider till the end of the year. du signed a deal with OSN to provide its subscribers exclusive content on all-new online and mobile application entertainment platform Wavo, free of charge until end of year.
The application was launched on OSN in August this year combining both catch-up and live TV covering live and exclusive sports event, popular TV series and blockbuster movies having the option of English as well as Arabic subtitles.
Osman Sultan, chief executive officer of du, said “After the deadline of the deal, there will be a price but with a different bundle package.” He also added, digitalisation is taking over the future of the world and people are consuming content in a different perspective now.
OSN will provide five movie channels and six channels for sports which form part of the deal, in total 14 channels under entertainment. CEO of OSN, Martin Stewart, said “the network is providing its customers the next phase of the new OSN at an affordable price across the region.” He also said, “4K content will be available for OSN subscribers in 2018 as there is not enough content at the moment.
