Open View, the South African provider of free-to-air satellite channels, has announced that it has reached an agreement with Econet to add Kwese Free Sports to its catalog.

From now on, the channel will be available in clear on Open View platforms to expand the company’s sports content offering.

“Sport is one of the most common topics of discussion in South Africa. We have had requests for a sports channel since the launch of OpenView and Kwese Free Sports and its quality content will be highly appreciated by our viewers, “says Ziyanda Mngomezulu, head of channel acquisition at Open View.

For Joseph Hundah, president of Econet Media and CEO of the group, “This is another milestone for Kwese TV as we introduce another of our products to the South African market after the launch of Kwese Play in 2017.” As a business based on delivering world-class sports and entertainment content, we are proud to offer a dedicated sports channel with 24 hours of premium content and, in some cases, exclusive events. ”

Open View HD will begin broadcasting Kwese Free Sports on March 16 at midnight on channel 110.
