Ooredoo boosts its TV app

Ooredoo TV app store, owned by the telecommunications company Ooredoo TV, now has 30 applications. Offering a full entertainment service for Qatar with state of the art live TV and video on demand services, the top TV applications of Ooredoo consists of Qur’an Al Kareem, Tune In, Al Jazeera, XITE and YouTube, among others.

The app also offers digital applications dedicated to video, music, games and news. New sites including Deutsche Welle, photography site like Flickr and video streaming service like Vimeo are also included.

Fatima Sultan al-Kuwari, director of community and public relations at Ooredoo, said: “With an Ooredoo tv box, our customers can enjoy free and premium content from all over the world via live TV and video-on-demand, as well as a growing digital library with games, video, music, news and more”.

“Entertainment is evolving, it’s not about schedules and recordings any more, it’s about 24/7 access and multi-platform content to keep our customers updated and interested on the go”, she further added.

On the other hand, gamers will be served with a slew of applications being interactive. This include the ‘Hangman’ game, ‘Sugar Boost’ and ‘Pirate-Commander’ games which an adventure one.
