In Nigeria, the musician Olamide will launch a television channel. The rapper released this information on March 15, his birthday, on his Instagram account. He decided to name the channel after one of his nicknames, “Voice of the Street TV”.
Little information was revealed about the project. We know that the channel will be available via satellite on the bouquets of the local operator Play TV. Olamide also offered the first 100 customers who visited the premises of the pay television operation, a decoder with one year of subscription.
No detail has yet been given on the type of content that will broadcast the channel but we can imagine that the musical content will be dominant. The name of the channel also suggests that it will try to provide Nigerian young artists with better media exposure.
