MultiChoice Zimbabwe announced a major price slash on the DStv Subscription prices and launched a new low-cost package, DStv Lite exclusively to the market. The price slash is the second one undertaken by the company in two years, the first one having taken place in November 2016.
The new subscriptions package for premium will cost $65, for Compact Plus the price will be $40 and Compact subscribers will pay only $20. The new DStv Lite package will be available at the very affordable price of $7. The price cuts were announced as the company figured out subscribers were struggling to make payment because of the economic situation of the country.
Gerald Ngonyama, MultiChoice Zimbabwe’s marketing manager said, “We recognise that our customers are living in tough economic times and would like to alleviate their financial strain by providing them the best in local and international entertainment at the best possible value.”
