The Permanent Secretary of Muchinga, Bright Nundwe said, the province is ready to drift from analogue to digital due to the works on the modern television transmission site in Chinsali district of Muchinga province has forged ahead.
“The main motive for the construction of the modern television transmission site is to ameliorate the signal for television in the district and in nearby areas,” said Nundwe in a report by ZANIS. He added, “Chinsali is privileged to have a facility of a modern structure just like all other districts in the country to enable people to experience the benefits of digital migration.”
After inspection at the construction site, the permanent secretary concluded that the province is all set to shift from Analogue to Digital. In addition, Nundwe well-considered people of Muchinga Province to get the Topstar decoders if they want to benefit with latest information in the digital era once the analogue transmitters are switched off.
“The Government is committed to ensure that all districts have access to digital television,” concluded Nundwe.
