MTV expands Israeli offering

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has expanded its MTV youth and music portfolio in Israel, as it split its existing 24-hour Hebrew-language service into two separate youth-oriented TV channels – MTV and MTV Music.

Available exclusively on Israeli cable platform HOT, MTV will focus on airing general entertainment content including drama, documentary, game shows and more, while MTV Music will deliver international and local music videos and long-form music content such as live concerts, award shows, festival events and a local production.

MTV will also introduce a number of key long-form programmes, including teen comedy drama, Faking It, documentary series, Generation Cryo, and reality game show, Are You the One?, along with new seasons of hit shows Awkward, Catfish and I Used To Be Fat.
