MultiChoice’s pay-TV content provider, M-Net, has inked a deal with US television network to screen all first-run HBO series and its iconic library material on M-Net Edge which will premiere on DStv’s Premium bouquet from October 20.
“Throughout the world, HBO is well-known for its groundbreaking, cutting-edge and superior quality productions. Their shows are a perfect fit for the bold new M-Net Edge which aims to delight discerning viewers with risque, yet classy, series,” said Victor Eckard, Director of M-Net and M-Net Edge.
Along with some HBO classics, M-Net Edge has furthermore created weekend binge-sessions of drama series that previously only occupied late-night slots on M-Net. It will also air all prior seasons of Game of Thrones on Saturdays. Other seasons including The Newsroom, Veep, Girls, Silicon Valley, The Leftovers and Looking will be aired in the later stages.
