ITV Choice, the cable and satellite television channel owned and operated by ITV plc, is bringing ‘Prime Suspect: Tennison’ in South Africa on DStv. The crime drama series will be aired on DStv shortly after its UK broadcast.
The series will be accessible as from April 6. It is a British police procedural television drama series starring Stefanie Martini as the young Jane Tennison. The prequel is adapted by Glen Laker from the best-selling novel ‘Tennison’ of Lynda La Plante.
Katherine Wen, the channel director for ITV Choice, said: “We are delighted to be able to bring this brand-new, highly anticipated series to South African television audiences so soon after it premieres in the U.K. It is an absolutely brilliant story of how a young policewoman learns to persevere, even though the odds are heavily stacked against her to succeed”.
She also added: “Prime Suspect: Tennison adds to our slate of top British crime dramas that we have lined up for the channel, which includes Prime Suspect, Endeavour, Murdoch Mysteries, Grantchester and, of course, the fabulous Vera with Brenda Blethyn”.
