The boxing fight community have been waiting for the Julius Indongo and Terrance Crawford fight to be broadcasted live on the Namibia Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) on the 20 August.
The Unified WBA Super, IBF and IBO Super Lightweight World Champion Julius Indongo will be opposed to Terrance Crawford at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska. The broadcaster announced that since that the signing of the channel distribution agreement with Kwese Free TV Limited, the NBC provided the country with a host of live international sporting events on the DTT platform. The NBC holds boastfully the rights in being the only local TV station to broadcast the match and bagged a sub-license agreement allowing the broadcaster to simulcast the boxing match on nbc1.
NBC Executive Producer, Sackie Shikufa said, “As promised with the launch of Kwesé Free Sports on nbc6, the live free-to-air coverage of some of the best in global sports is now available to the Namibian public at large. Our mandate to educate, inform and entertain remains our number one priority; hence the NBCteam worked hard to attain the rights to this boxing match.”
