GOTV Zambia slashed down its decoder prices to show its commitment to assist the digital migration process in the country. This decrease in price is to allow consumers to access digital TV at a very affordable price.

Recha Kabwe, MultiChoice Zambia’s Managing Director accentuated the country’s government commitment to provide Zambians with low cost digital services once the DSO is launched on October 1.

Kabwe said, “As part of our commitment to assist with the digital migration in Zambia and to allow consumers’ access to digital television at a price everyone can afford, we have further reduced the price of our decoders to K199 and they come with one-month GOtv Plus subscription which will provide phenomenal television channels creating excitement for the whole family.”

Since its partnership with Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC), GOTV has been working closely with the corporation ensuring full participation in the digital migration to allow citizens to acquire digital TV. Kabwe said the decision to lower the decoder prices is to allow consumers to have more choice and the possibility to join the digital TV revolution. He added, “I want to remind Zambians that GOtv is already digital, so if you have a GOtv decoder you will not need to buy any other decoder when the country makes the move to digital television.”
