GOtv Nigeria, the cable television provider owned by MultiChoice, has launched a new bouquet named GOtv LITE. It is the cheapest bouquet with a subscription plan of 400 NGN (1.18 USD) per month (for three months), 1,050 NGN (3.09 USD) per quarter and 3,100 NGN (9.11 USD) per year.
The bouquet offers 20 channels with both international and local ones included. Channels available on GOtv Lite bouquet include Afro Music Pop, Al Jazeera, e.TV, FAITH, Islam channel, JimJam, AIT, LTV, MITV, ONTV Max, TVC Entertainment, TVC News Nigeria, Channels, Trybe TV, STV, Wazobia TV, Galaxy TV and NTAi.
On the other hand, John Ugbe, the managing director of MultiChoice Nigeria, commented about the development: “As a customer-focused organisation, we understand that subscribers’ needs are not all the same, and their economy might differ, as such we introduced GOtv Lite to cater for the down market. GOtv subscribers can now pay less to enjoy more”.
Johnson Irase, the marketing manager of GOtv, said: “The new bouquet would help meet the religious, sports, music, news and entertainment needs of subscribers, adding that the bouquet which has two audio television, Naija and Wazobia, will be launching more channels by middle of September”.
