Paris based international news and current affairs television network France 24 has signed an agreement with SIGNET to launch its operations in Kenya. The media outlet also becomes the first international news channel to be on a digital free-to-air platform in the country.

The launch comes as Kenya continues attracting international attention from investors looking to tap into its strategic location, its pool of talented entrepreneurs, burgeoning middle class, infrastructural growth and discovery of natural resources that have fanned an appetite for information which France 24 seeks to fill.
This, as the news channel also seeks to meet rising needs for diversified and trusted sources of international news among Kenyan growing middle class.

Broadcasting 24/7 in four languages, English, French, Arabic and Spanish, France 24’s flagship technology show, Tech 24, that seeks to celebrate Kenya’s pole position in championing innovation, will visit Nairobi’s iHub, Konza, the Silicon Valley of Africa and take a look at the projects that have worked and what the world can learn from them. The programme will broadcast on 31st March 2018 at 3:15 pm local time.

The new channel will be accessible free-to-air in most metro areas, including Nairobi, Mombasa, Eldoret, Embu, Kisii, Kisumu, Machakos, Maralal, Mombasa, Murang’a, Naivasha, Nakuru, Narok, Nyeri, Webuye, Yala and Siaya.
