From October 27th to November 5th, the sixth edition of Film Africa festival dedicated to the 7th African art will be hosted. In six editions, the festival has broadcast 388 films of 132 directors from Africa.
As a prelude to the launch of the sixth edition, the Royal African Society, which organizes the festival, decided to create the “Film Africa On Demand” initiative. In partnership with Okiki, an application to watch African films in streaming, the organizers of the festival will give access to a selection of the 60 best films broadcast during the first five editions of Film Africa.
In 2016, nearly 5,000 people attended the fifth edition of the festival. Its catalogue of 58 films from 22 different African countries has made Film Africa one of the main showcases of African cinema in Europe.
