Eurostar Group, Dubai based consumer electronics firm, brings a mobile television application to cater to Malayali expatriates in Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) states in partnership with Asianet Communications, Indian media conglomerate. The subscription based mobile streaming service is priced at AED279 for six months, as per media reports.
Asianet Mobile TV application offers over 22 live Malayalam television channels and 20 radio channels (broadcast in Malayalam, Hindi and English) on iOS and Android-based devices. The channels comprise Asianet News, Kairali, People, Jeevan, Mathrubhumi TV, Reporter, Kappa, Rosebowl, JaiHind, Flowers, Sakhi, Janam, Shalom, MediaOne, Amrita, WE, Kaumadi, Safari, ACV and PowerVision.
As a promotional activity, Eurostar is offering a pre-loaded two-month subscription for free with its ePad tablets.
