e.tv switching timeslots to air Broken Vows and eNews

In a move to raise their ratings, e.tv will switch the timeslots of its telenovela Broken Vows and the prime-time TV News bulletin, eNews Direct. Part of the Channel’s acquisition, Days of Our Lives, e.tv is doing a significant retooling of the prime-time schedule from September with Days to air at 17.30.

The music show which airs on Fridays, Club 808, will now be shipped to an earlier timeslot 16.30 as from September 8, at a time when the target audience is thought to be unable to enjoy it. Broken Vows and eNews Direct, which are programmes which have been struggling with the ratings, would be allocated different timeslots to be able to be enjoyed by the viewers.

The telenovela Broken Vows will be moved from 20.00 to 18.30 to compete with SABC1’s Skeem Saam drama. eNews Direct will then take the timeslot lately occupied by Broken Vows to head-to-head compete with the super-soap Generations-the Legacy of SABC1.
