As part of its on-going commitment to bring the best in local and international content, StarTimes is announcing the launch of a new channel on its platform, DW.

Produced in Germany, DW is a global English-language channel broadcasting news around the clock.
Broadcasts are organized in a rotating schedule of 30-minute news blocks which follow developing stories with in-depth analysis. DW provides fascinating new insights into the people and places beyond the headlines.

Regional issues are also a priority as well as the environment. With Eco@Africa, DW tackles crucial issues like biodiversity conservation, the energy of tomorrow, alternative resource management and future mobility.

“We are very happy to add DW to our platform. It will join numerous international news channels such as BBC World News, Al-Jazeera, Fox News or CGTN to give our viewers a variety of viewpoints regarding international and regional affairs. DW offers very appealing programs such as Drive it! with everything about cars or Tomorrow Today to learn about the latest developments in science,” says Vincent Yu, StarTimes Media Division Chief Operating Officer.

Starting from August 1st, DW will join StarTimes DTH platform in the Smart bouquet on channel number 274.
