Scripps Networks Interactive will be providing the African version of The Food Network on DStv to South Africa from September. The channel will be available to view on DStv 175 to all subscribers of the MultiChoice satellite pay-TV platform.
Paul Welling, Scripps’ new Regional Content boss made the announcement about the new channel. Scripps decided to give African viewers a better customised channel feed following significant audience and viewership growth within the region.
The channel will offer a curated Food Network adapted for Africa and will be active from Friday September 1st. the channel will be committed to air original local productions and to bring the hit US series to SA’s DStv subscribers.
Of the upcoming programming on The Food Network channel includes new season of Siba’s Table, Diners, Drive-Ins and Man Fire Food.
