Disney announced the creation of 11 series of more than 300 hours of content to be released in Europe, Middle East and Africa over the next two years. Three new shows are coming to live after being showcased at the Annecy Festival: “101 Dalmatian Street”, “Giganotosaurus” and “Space Chickens In Space”.
The American brand also announced the return of two other shows: “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir” and “PJ Masks”. The Disney channel’s portfolio is broadcasted in 117 countries and reaches about 160 million households in EMEA region.
In her comments, Hélène Etzi, SVP and general manager; Disney Channels EMEA declared “The TV world is evolving, it’s boosted by tech, but more fragmented, tons of content is available anytime, anywhere. This creates a new situation in terms of competition. Although TV will remain central to audiovisual viewing, it seems very clear our ecosystem is becoming larger, broader and more complex than in the past. This is a wonderful opportunity for Disney”.
