Disney Africa announced the launch of Disney Cookabout Season 2 on Disney Channel to premiere on DSTV Channel 303 on Saturday 14 October.
Disney Cookabout, the comedy adventure game show winner of the 2016 SAFTA award for Best Children’s Programme. The show uses food preparation, cooking and outdoor exploration to showcase local ingredients and a funny approach to healthy eating.
The season 2’s 18 episodes, produced by Penguin Films, will feature some of the best South African’s locally produced wholesome products to give an entertaining insight into the food children are used to seeing only in supermarkets. This season will see the ‘cooktestants’ and viewers with a new theme and location discovering local and international delicacies, cultures and recipes.
The show’s host Kirsten Mohamed and Mthunzi Ntoyi will travel across Western Cape with the contestants hunting for the best ingredients whilst living up to the challenges in various locations. The contestants will be fighting to bring home the Silver Spoon and ultimately the Golden Trophy.
