Catching Feelings to launch on Netflix

Catching Feelings will go live on the streaming service, Netflix, in May. This movie will make you laugh it’s a great Friday night watch with bae. Aside from staring in the film, Kagiso Lediga grabs the project as his own by also directing and writing. Alongside him on screen, Lediga is joined by none other than Pearl Thusi.

Thusi is a South African megastar with international credits and recurring roles on US shows like Quantico. Her involvement in this film was a key part of bringing South Africans to the cinema. Andrew Buckland and Loyiso Gola are some of the other noteworthy names on the cast list.

While Inxeba is available to stream on Netflix in the US, Catching Feelings is the first South African film to stream on Netflix South Africa. The only other piece of local content on the service so far, is a comedy special with global phenomenon Trevor Noah.

Netflix is spending over $8 billion on more than 700 originals pieces of content globally. The company has insisted that it is always talking to local producers regarding great South African content.
