Football fans in Kenya will be treated to the 2018 Fifa World Cup on NTV. This is after Nation Media (NTV) Group on Thursday signed an agreement with Kwese Free Sports to broadcast 32 matches of the world’s premier sports event live.
Monica Ndung’u, Kwese Sports General Manager commented on the new deal, “This is an exciting partnership between two ambitious media houses. I am certain after the tournament we will be counting the money and audiences.”
Nation Media Group CEO Stephen Gatagama, present during the signing ceremony said, “We are delighted to give our views in Kenya and elsewhere an opportunity to watch the greatest sports show – the FIFA World Cup – at the comfort of their homes, social establishment and other viewing centres.” Stephen added, “As we all know, the World Cup comes around once every four years and is the biggest, globally most watched event in the world. This partnership underscores again yet out total commitment towards promoting sports and providing entertainment our audiences.”
