Cartoon Network, the Time-Warner owned, satellite television channel airing kids’ content in South Africa, will be launching multiple digital offerings this month. The channel has revealed the launching of ‘CN Anything’ app on 26 January this year, alongside numerous other iconic games for online gaming experience.
‘CN Anything’ app will be a large library filled with a constantly growing and changing collection of content. This includes games, activities, trivia and video material which will last between 10 to 15 minutes. It is a free app which will be available on iOS and Google Play.
Elsewhere, Cartoon Network has recently launched ‘Ben 10: Up to Speed’ after the worldwide re-launch of the franchise, Ben 10. The app is accessible on iOS and Google Play at only 49.99 ZAR (3.70 USD). The game is about Ben Tennyson who goes on summer vacation with his Grandpa, Max and cousin, Gwen. He discovers an alien artifact called the Omnitrix. The latter allows him to transform into powerful alien heroes.
Pierre Branco, Vice President, Southern Europe and Africa for Turner International, commented: “At Turner, we understand that our audience is now predominantly online. This is an amazing opportunity for us to engage and interact with our viewers, when they are not watching Cartoon Network on-screen. It goes without saying that it is important for us to invest in this space, so Cartoon Network will have a strong digital focus in 2017”.
