The Qatar-based broadcaster, BeIN, will show Italian soccer’s top tier. The broadcaster has agreed the deal with the IMG agency, which holds international media rights to Serie A.
The broadcaster is to show Serie A matches in both Arabic and English across the region. IMG and Italian public-service broadcaster Rai acquired Serie A international media rights in October, with IMG taking the rights internationally and Rai picking up a dedicated Italian-language package that serves Italian communities outside Italy.
Those deals are worth a total of US$1.23 billion over three seasons, from the 2018/19 season to 2020/21.
