BBC Studios Africa signs content deal with MultiChoice

BBC Studios in Africa confirmed the first content deal with MultiChoice’s streaming services for an exclusive array of arts and culture content, for DStv Premium customers in spring.

As of September 4th, DStv Premium customers will have access to almost 130 hours of new artistic content. The programs will be available to stream or download on Catch Up on DStv Now, online and on the app, and also on Catch Up Plus, to which users have access upon connecting their DStv Explora to the Internet.

Amongst the content which will feature is Queen’s Golden Jubilee Concerts: Party At The Palace. This programme features a two-hour concert from Buckingham Palace celebrating the Queen’s Golden Jubilee and stars a top line-up of artists. More content revolving around arts like Van Gogh – Painted With Words and Royal Opera House: The Nutcracker will be available for subscribers to enjoy.

10 categories of content genres on the BBC will be made available for subscribers as the outcome of this newly signed deal.
