Airtel Kenya will extend the coverage of its high-speed 4G network to three more towns over the next four months.
The Managing Director of Airtel Kenya, Prasanta Das Sarma declared, ‘’The telecom operator would take 4G network to Kisumu, Eldoret and Nakuru. Airtel launched its 4G network in Nairobi and Mombasa two months ago.’’
Das Sarma further stated, ‘’Airtel is banking on data and voice to grow its customer base while adding that launch of the 4G network has played a key role in helping the firm to increase the number of its subscribers.’’
Airtel’s new Internet bundles will offer customers more data at the same rates as before and free WhatsApp services to help it gain more market share.
“All the top cities will be covered, and the process has started so the next three to four months they should all be covered. We will not stop there but continue to improve services for our customers,” specified Das Sarma.
The expansion comes at a time when Airtel has witnessed the fastest growth in subscriber numbers.
